Nachrichtenblatt der Panzertruppen |
 |
|
|
I have collected a series of “bulletins” from the Generalinspekteur der Panzertruppen, they begin with August of 1943 and end with December of 1944 though there are several issues missing. There seems to be some interesting information in some so I will be posting one issue per month until I get them all posted. The documents are copies of originals and not translated.

Volksgrenadier Divisions |
 |
This is not meant to be a compressive source of
Volksgrenadier division information but simply to provide some information I
have turned up while looking into this division type. I hope that some will
find the information useful.

First is a relatively new book by Doug Nash, Victory was Beyond
their Grasp: The 272nd Volksgrenadier Division from the Huertgen Forest to the
Heart of the Reich, this is a great book on the topic and a must have.
Read review here.
Some companion information to the book, good to review prior to
starting the book and then kept handy while reading.
Foreign Military Study document on the Volksgrenadier Division and
the Volkssturm
The link below is to a compilation of documents from OKH regarding tables of
organization and other organizational information for the Volksgrenadier
division. The documents are unfortunately not translated to English but are not however difficult to follow as they are
mostly charts. Also the translated KStN 149 V above can be used as a guide.
This document is only partially completed; it currently consists of the
infantry components, and will be updated with additional components of the
division as time and information permits. I formatted this document to be printed
double sided and there are several blank pages as I did not want different documents (KStN)
to be on the same page.
